In this unit you will learn about how to congratulating and complimenting others.

You will listen to the conversations of congratulating and complimenting others again, before making your own conversation. Then, sit in pairs and take turn to suggest the expressions for making your own dialog.

Situation: Aya and Julia are at the photography exhibition.

 


Aya: Congratulations, Julia. You are a really good photographer.

Julia: Thanks.

Aya: So how do you take a good photograph?

Julia: Well, you need to be patient. It takes time to get a good picture. You need good light and a good subject.

Aya: And I guess you need to be creative. Your photos are always very original.

Julia: Well, I try to be different.

Aya: I never seem to take good photos. I don’t think I’m very artistic. And I’m not very patient.

Julia: Well, it’s easy to learn. Do you want me to give you some lessons?

Aya: Yeah. That would be great.
